Below are the LINKEDIN Courses that I took in the LINKED Learning:
- LEARNING TO TEACH ONLINE by Oliver Schinkten (Speaker, Consultant, Writer Video Trainer)
- INCREASING ENGAGEMENT WITH ELEARNING PROGRAMS by Arjay Pangarkar, (Workplace Performance Strategist, Speaker, Author)
- INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN ESSENTIALS: MODELS OF ID by Dr. Joe Pulichino (Senior Manager of Compliance, Ethics, Training, and Awareness)
- ELEARNING ESSENTIALS: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN by Samantha Calamari (Instructional Designer and Digital Learning Specialist)
- ELEARNING TIPS by Tim Slade (Speaker, Author, and Award-winning ELearning designer)
The above-mentioned courses are interrelated with each other. All of these courses aim to enlighten the learners regarding the concept and relevance of ELEARNING in the 21st Century. After listening to the Instructors, you will have the clear perspective on how should you embrace the features and benefits of ELEARNING in order to effectively and efficiently conduct it. Hence, this will help us to engage and immerse our learners in a learning environment where they can easily access the information, knowledge, and skills that they need to obtain and learn.
In the course of Mr. Oliver Schinkten entitled Learning to Teach Online, he provided there the proper information that we should understand about Online Education. Moreover, he substantively discussed the importance of the elements of teaching online, especially the concept of Learning Management System. He also demonstrated the methods that we could adopt in order to create our Online Course based on the culture of learning where students are fully engaged and able to learn with each other as well. He also explained that assessments are very relevant in facilitating an ONLINE COURSE. This will help the Educators to ensure that there is a transfer of learning that takes place in the ONLINE COURSE. Lastly, he gave us a reminder that our online course must be accessible to every kind of learner that has different context. At the end of the day, the reason we want to conduct ONLINE COURSES is because we want to provide an accessible learning to almost every kind of learner.
In the second course entitled Increasing Engagement with ELEARNING Programs, Mr. Arjay Pangarkar provided us the relevant methods on how to further take advantage of the benefits of ELEARNING. He discussed that engagement with ELEARNING programs would take place if the designers and educators could align the content of the said programs with the values that they might apply in their respective field of work. Mr. Pangarkar emphasized the importance of ensuring that the ELEARNING programs are relevant to what we want to achieve and to the information and knowledge that we want to learn. According to him, the goals and values that we want to attain must be clear, so we can align it with the content of our ELEARNING Programs. Furthermore, he also indicated in the course the essence of creating the desire to learn among the learners because this is what will motivate them to be really engaged in the ELEARNING PROGRAMS.
Implementing the appropriate Instructional Designs and the methods that must be adopted in order to generate an effective and efficient ELEARNING Programs are the main points of the other three LINKEDIN Courses. Of course, no matter how good the content of our ELEARNING Programs, if they will not be implemented very well to address the learning needs of the learners, then it doesn’t achieve its goal as an ELEARNING PROGRAM. We have to understand that main goal of ELEARNING PROGRAM is to make it easier for the learners to learn and provide them with the information, knowledge, and skills that they need at the moment.
This is the privilege that we have with ELEARNING. Technology has revolutionized the way we conduct our learning sessions. Hence, this will help us to become more relevant in terms of accessing the knowledge that we must acquire in order to address the challenges and problems of the 21st century. At the end of the day, this age of information will continue to transform our society. Thus, it is our sole responsibility to thrive in this changing environment with all the resources that we have today.
